We take a maximum of 4 people for each session and provide a sufficient number of tools for each person to use.

Our sessions are from 10am - 4.30pm with a break for lunch with coffee and tea provided at strategic intervals.

We are conscious of the Health and Safety aspects of working with glass and, therefore, ask you to comply with any requests made to ensure your safety and that of others using the studio.

We do not publish a timetable of the courses offered as we are very well aware that such formal arrangements don’t suit everyone, as we are a working studio we are available to give tuition when you want.

Should you wish to make a day with us part of a longer stay in the area we are able to suggest local bed and breakfast establishments, there are several local pubs for evening meals, and if you so wish a local farm which provides self catering accommodation.

VAT is included in all course fees.

Taster ‘Tiffany’ day
This is the use of copper foil which is applied to the edge of cut glass which is then soldered together. Learn how to cut and select glass for a specific project, chose a design, learn how to attach the foil and solder the prepared pieces to take home.
As Christmas approaches make your own decorations for the tree or windows.
Fee is £45.00 which includes all materials used, refreshments and a light lunch.

2 day lead introduction
This is the traditional method of making windows, (using 21st century tools!) Cutting and selecting glass, preparation of lead came, setting out the design, soldering and cementing, and the really fun bit of cleaning it up!
Fee is £75.00 which includes materials, refreshments and light lunches.

1 day fusing
Learn how to cut glass and the basic principles behind the art form , the compatibility of the different types of glass available, create an individual piece such as a bowl or plate which we will fire for you Your piece will usually be available in 3 days.
Fee is £85.00 which includes all materials, light lunch and refreshments.

A more advanced course is available for those who have mastered the basics which includes the use of metals and inclusions into pieces.

Jewellery
Learn how to select and cut glass to create unique pieces of jewellery, quality glass and findings are included in the course fee as are refreshments and a light lunch. As items created have to be fired they will usually be available within three days.
Fee £85.

Structured 8 week course
Over 3 hr sessions ( day or evening).
Covers all of the basic skills of cutting and selecting glass will deal with foil, lead and fusing you will be able to produce an article in each of these disciplines which will set you up for bigger projects.
Fee £180.00 which includes all materials and refreshments.
Or if you so wish you can choose to follow one of these disciplines and produce a small panel lamp (foil) or small window (lead). There may be some extra costs for this option.

Improvers courses
Available to those who have mastered the basic techniques but need advice and equipment to continue to achieve a specific project. These tailored to individual requirements. There may be some extra costs, for example a lamp base, special glass, bevels.
Fee subject to project and time required.
